At Living Green Furiniture we specialize in making the best quality furnititure using old, kolonial-age materials that would otherwise be thrown away. As a result, every piece of furniture we create will have had a great rich history and thus has an amazing story.
Monumento di Curacao is the award-winning furniture line that we create. It's all about the preservation of history. All the furniture made, will be made from recycled wood that will be given a second chance. Our handcrafted furniture not only tells a story but will surely meet the modern-day standard of comfort and practicality.
About Eugene Maduro
Owner and designer of Monumento Di Curaçao, Eugene was raised in Otrobanda and since he young collected objects from his own neighborhood and transformed them into art. These objects are memories of his childhood. Now crafts makes handmade furniture deriving from this childhood habit.
Maduro: “Wood tells you how old it is, what it has been through, what its purpose has been. I immediately get a connection with a piece of wood since it always tells me a story. Whether it's an old window, a door or a floor.Doors for the houses I have modified their purpose into cabinets. Some became strong tables.
International
Monumento Di Curacao is very popular with European customers, especially the Dutch and Belgian. For me it is not only about furniture, but just as much about service on a personal level to any customer.
International transportation has always been a priority for us. We have in the pas transported our furniture to various places around the world and to this day we still do. Location is not an issue

Custom design work is one of Living Green's specialties. Because we have our own factory, we have the capacity to create whatever furnishings you might need for your home or business. You are always welcome, either you have your own design or if you want our in-house team to help you design custom pieces in a wide array of styles, woods and finishes.
